What is measurement uncertainty, and why does ISO 17025 require it?
Measurement uncertainty quantifies the doubt in every calibration result — the range within which the true value is expected to fall. ISO 17025 clause 7.6 requires accredited labs to identify every contributor (equipment, environment, method, operator) and calculate a defensible uncertainty budget for each parameter on their scope of accreditation.
Do you offer calculators for specific instruments, or just general templates?
Both. The toolkit includes general-purpose uncertainty budget templates and an ISO 17025 document checklist, plus calculators built around common calibration parameters like dimensional, mass, temperature, and pressure.
